It’s often said that we, “overestimate what we can get done in a day and underestimate what we can get done in a year”. Over the years, I’ve learned that setting New Year’s goals is great. However, identifying the actions required to actually accomplish goals on a regular basis is even better.
For example, one of my goals is to save $20K this year – if only saying it made it so. If I actually want to achieve this goal, it’s important to understand that this goal will require me to save $55 a day. As it turns out, this goal will require me to adjust my current spending habits in order to meet my savings goal of $55 a day (Hint: goodbye $5 lattes and Sephora!). It would also be great if there was an app that allowed me to deduct $55 from my checking out on a daily basis (but more about that later).
If you read my blog regulary (and I hope you do), than you already know that I’m obsessed with productivity apps. However, when we think of productivity apps, we often think of apps that help us generate better to do lists, manage projects, or control our inboxes. However as modern business owners, there’s a multitude of apps available to make our lives easier. Of course, there’s the obvious game-changers like Uber and Netflix, however there are so many apps available to help us simplify our lives!
So in this post, I’m discussing ten of my favorite apps at the moment. If you’re looking to save more money, improve your health, read more or even dress better than these apps have got you covered, my friend! Here’s my list of 10 must-have apps to help you achieve your goals:
Create Better Habits with Done
Done is an app that allows you to set and track goals either daily, weekly, or monthly so you can slay your life goals. With Done, you can set a goal for multiple times a day, not just once like other habit tracking apps on the market. Done allows tracking for both building and quitting habits. There are exciting color options to help customize your list and a daily journal that allows you to keep notes. With the free version of Done, you can create and track up to three goals. For additional goals, you will need to upgrade to the premium version for a one-time fee.

Remente allows you to track your mood to understand what makes you happy and what makes you sad. You can also create custom goals based on weekly habits or tasks you want to accomplish. Reach Your Savings Goals with Qapital
Will this be the year you finally save that down payment for a house or take that long awaited trip to Bali? The Qapital app helps you save without thinking about it. The easy to use app allows you to achieve multiple savings goals by connecting a checking account and setting up rules.
If you have a hard time saving money or are just looking to stash a little more money away this year Qapital is a great tool. You can easily set up multiple goals within the app and then set rules to achieve your savings goals. The “set it and forget it rule” saves an amount you designate on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. While the “guilty pleasure” rule forces you to save money everytime you splurge on $5 lattes or takeout.

Earn Cash Back with eBates
I admit it. I was extremely late to the eBates party. However, last year my goal was to shop more intentionally, which for me meant shopping online instead of visiting my favorite stores in-person which often leads to impulse buys. If you shop online regulary, eBates is a must! Sign up for eBates and install their Chrome browser to instantly start earning cash back on online purchases. I signed up for eBates last year during the Black Friday sales. I was able to quickly earn over $100 by taking advantage of 3x Cashback Deals at store like Off Saks, Sephora, and Gap.
Even better, if you’re planning a vacation, you can book your hotel through Expedia and earn up to 8% cash back. Ebates also has thousands of other popular retailers, including Amazon and Lyft. Online shopping not your jame? You can link your credit card to the app and earn cash back on in-store purchases as well, a feature that comes in handy for my weekly Target runs. The eBates app is an absolute MUST for saving money! –
Save on Everyday Purchases with Raise
Looking to save even more on everyday purchases? Raise makes it easy for you to save money on everyday purchases using gift cards. I’ll often buy gift cards to stores I shop at regularly in order to save money and earn cash back. Raise also recently added a Pay feature which allows you to redeem your gift card or send digital gift cards to friends or family. Also, Raise works with eBates – so you can actually double up on cash back earnings! My favorite hack, is to use eBates to purchase Starbucks gift cards on Raise which allows me to earn over 12% cash back. Alas, you can finally acheive your new years goal of spending less money on coffee!
